Physiotherapy for small and large animals

ABOUT

Rider from a very young age and having grown up surrounded by animals, I always knew that I would do a job combining sport, animals and well-being. At 17, I started studying human physiotherapy at UCLouvain (BE). Once graduated, I continued my training with an additional Master's Degree in animal physiotherapy at Hartpury University (UK). Graduated since June 2022, I offer you my services for rehabilitation, sports follow-up and well-being of your small and large animals.

I work in collaboration with your veterinarian, osteopath, farrier, ... to ensure quality care. Indeed, multidisciplinarity has been instilled in me for a long time during my studies. It is, in my opinion, essential for the well-being of the patient. This is why the agreement of your veterinarian will be requested for any treatment of known pathology.

Like us, animals respond well to physiotherapy. The goal is to restore and maintain mobility, function, independence and performance.

I am a member of ACPAT (Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Animal Therapy). This English association has more than 400 members in 15 different countries. It aims to:

  • Lead the development of innovative and high quality physiotherapy interventions in the treatment of animals
  • To raise the standards of animal physiotherapy and promote the excellence of its members through continuing education, evaluation, research and continuing professional development.
  • To promote the benefits of animal physiotherapy and rehabilitation to veterinarians, the general public and other related animal health professionals.

I am also a member of BACAP (Belgian Association for Certified Animal Physiotherapists). This association is made up of certified animal physiotherapists who have previously completed veterinary or human physiotherapy course. It aims to:

  • Promote communication between veterinarians and physiotherapists.
  • Promote animal physiotherapy within the profession of physiotherapist, but also outside.
  • Organize conferences and meetings.
  • Increase the knowledge and skills of its members.
  • Strive for formal recognition of animal physiotherapy.
